History of the neighborhood:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 100 years, our plot belonged to a distillery, Reymersholms Spritf\u00f6r\u00e4dlings AB, started in 1870 by the “brandy king” L.O. Smith who created purified fennel-free brandy (this was a time when the average resident drank 2 liters of harmful fennel spirit\/week). Smith was strongly opposed and was banished outside Stockholm’s borders, therefore the production took place at Reimersholme, which was then outside the “city”. Despite the opposition, his company revolutionized the Swedish liquor industry and took over with the help of clever campaigns and coups. In our neighborhood purified brandy, Reymersholms Snaps, and Absolut Vodka were invented.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
